Size: 3" x 4" - Deep birch board panel (hanging hardware attached)
I've mentioned before how I was using photographs for this Project 365's substrate. Well, on this day (and a few others) I couldn't find my stack of photos, so I ended up using just plain old blank photo paper. Super duper bright & white.
I layered on the brightest yellow in my stash of paints, but I didn't want to hide all the white, so towards the bottom I eased off. And then came the red. Red has so many variants of opacity! You can see this one is pretty much transparent, but then layered over the yellow (which is totally opaque) it really bumps up the intensity of the red.
My passes over the yellow with the red looks lot like cliffs somewhere, so I grabbed my indelible marker (I have a dozen of them, all at .005 width - I looooove them!) and outlined my cliffs just slightly. Vaguely reminiscent of the Grand Canyon I flew over in February!
It's a pretty little painting, perfect for a small spot in your office or little corner in your home. I love that these deep birch board panels stand on their own, or can be hung on the wall with just a push pin to hold them up.
