Size: 3" x 4" - Deep birch board panel (hanging hardware attached)
Yowza! That's a colour blast, isn't it? Must've needed a wake-up call the day I made this one.
The background is super blue - not sure the exact colour, so I'm making up names here. The white you see isn't paint, but the substrate. I didn't cover it over entirely because I thought it might add some interest. The red was added next, dragged upwards with most likely a gift card. I know, eh? I get so technical with my tools.
It's great when the paint just touches the tops of the raised bits of paint from below. It always amazes me where paint shows up once I decide on adding it to a canvas. I had to wait for that to dry, mostly, before I added the yellow. You can tell this is a more transparent yellow, because you can see the blue and red behind it where the yellow looks green or orange.
Obviously the red wasn't entirely dry, since there are portions where the red and yellow mixed and combined to be a darker orange streak (to the right, bottom).
It's a pretty little painting, perfect for a small spot in your office or little corner in your home. I love that these deep birch board panels stand on their own, or can be hung on the wall with just a push pin to hold them up.
